Written by Canadian author Kevin Vowles, Twenty-First Century Hippies: Activists in Pursuit of Peace and Social Justice examines poverty, war, the environment, HIV/AIDS and human rights, take action plans, and the impact activists and twenty-first century hippies have on these issues.
This book further explores and differentiates between activism and advocacy. It also details non-violence, peaceful, proactive, planned movements and actions. Change over time, various case studies of activists and organizations which have had a profound impact on peace and social justice, conclude the book. The essence is that anyone can be the change they want to see.

The Fair Trade Fall Tour will specifically address the impact of fair trade on human rights, poverty, HIV/AIDS and the environment.
